   We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we're collecting it and how it will be used. Your privacy is important to us. It is SyncWatch.Video's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website (syncwatch.video and www.syncwatch.video) and other sites we own and operate.
2. Retainment data
   We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we'll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
3. Sharing data
   We don't share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.
4. Cookies
   In order to improve your experience on SyncWatch.Video, we use a few cookies. These cookies are optional and will only be placed if you accepted cookies. SyncWatch.Video can use the following optional cookies:

   - 'sw_big_player', to save the last size of the player (big or small);- 'sw_custom_username', to save the last username you entered. This username will be used as a preferred username when you join a room;- 'sw_volume', to save the last volume level you configured;

   SyncWatch.Video also uses a few required cookies. These cookies are essential for SyncWatch.Video to work properly. SyncWatch.Video uses the following required cookies:

   - '__cfduid', placed by Cloudflare in order to detect malicious visitors;- 'connect.sid', to keep track of your session;- 'sw_cookie_consent', to save your answer to the cookie consent;- 'sw_jwt_access_token', to save your authentication access token (only used when you sign in);- 'sw_jwt_refresh_token', to save your authentication refresh token (only used when you sign in);- 'sw_jwt_auth_data', to save your authentication data (only used when you sign in);
5. Analytics
   SyncWatch.Video make use of the analytics tools: Ackee and Guave, both privacy-friendly and self-hosted.
6. Social login
   When you login into SyncWatch.Video using any Social Login we support, only an unqiue identifier of your account and your profile display name will be stored. The profile display name will be used when you join a new room and it can be changed any time in your account settings.
7. Data Deletion
   If you want SyncWatch.Video to delete the data that has been stored about you, you can send an email to [email protected]. Be sure to send along your user ID of the provider you authenticated with, or your username on SyncWatch.Video.
8. Rooms
   Temporary rooms on SyncWatch.Video have a lifespan of 1 - 2 days. This means that those rooms will be completely deleted after that lifespan. As long as the room exists, SyncWatch.Video stores the following user generated information:

   - user (anonymous or logged in) who created the room and the room owner;- users (anonymous or logged in) who joined the room;- users (anonymous or logged in) who are kicked from the room;- password of the room, when it is locked (stored encrypted);- url of the last played video (can be currently playing);- urls of the videos in the queue;

   Persistent rooms have an indefinite lifetime. Those rooms will not be deleted after a specified time, however the last played and queued videos will be deleted after the 1 - 2 days lifespan.

   SyncWatch.Video respects your privacy and therefor, apart from the last played video, NEVER stores the complete history of videos that are being played. Chat messages are also not stored on the SyncWatch.Video server.
9. External links
   Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.
10. Refusing
    You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
11. Acceptance
